Music: Nadav Vikinski. "Matti's Orange Revolution" is based on the acclaimed book by Tami Shem-Tov, published by Hakibbutz Hameuchad Publishing House. At the center of the story is Matti's grandmother, a warm and loving woman who enjoys knitting, baking cakes, and above all — reading the newspaper. But lately her eyesight has been weakening, making it harder for her to keep up the routine she loves so much. Matti, her nine-year-old granddaughter, longs to make her grandmother happy and to help her. Out of great love, she volunteers to come every day and read newspaper articles to her. But Matti has a big secret she hides from everyone — despite her age, she still doesn't know how to read. This opens a journey full of daring, creativity and imagination, in which Matti tries to cope with her difficulty without disappointing her grandmother. "Matti's Orange Revolution" is a moving, funny, and at times suspenseful play that begins in grandmother's home kitchen and ends in a surprising, colorful orange revolution. It is a story about facing challenges, about small and big secrets, about the environment, about friendship, and about the deep, moving bond between a grandmother and her granddaughter. The play is a new and original stage adaptation of the best-selling, award-winning book by Tami Shem-Tov, winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award for children's literature. Set design: Neta Amitai.
