Doors open at Shablul Club an hour and a half before the show starts. It's recommended to arrive close to door opening, deliberately timed to October 7. We are proud to present the magnetic artist Noga Friedman in a show where she sings and speaks movingly, accompanied by Adam Ben Amitai, with special guest Daniel Solomon, performing her beautiful, powerful songs from the album she created together with Daniel Solomon. How do you keep creating when life seems to be falling apart? And what happens when, out of the greatest pain, a creative burst of music, writing, painting and film emerges instead — accompanied by no small amount of humor? In the musical show 'What Was I Thinking' (Ma Hashavti Le'atzmi), Noga Friedman sings and tells of the journey she has taken since October 7th, of the loss of her partner and father of her three children, Ido Rosenthal, and of how creation became her way of coping with the new reality. Out of this personal experience came the prose book 'Days Like Their Own Flaw', the comic book 'First Person Plural', the documentary film 'Nothing Is Okay', and her debut album - 'Without You, With You'. She wrote and composed the album's songs in the year following Ido's death, and worked on it together with musician Daniel Solomon, who also guests in the show. This is not a show of mourning in the sense you might expect. It is a human, intimate, musical and unpredictable encounter, holding pain and longing alongside curiosity, honesty, irony and no small amount of humor.
