Conductor: Ido Shpitalnik. Classical music and jazz in an inspiring combination. This is a story about freedom and boundaries, about tradition and innovation, about a place where sound and daring meet. In a special program that goes beyond stylistic and historical boundaries, jazz pianist and composer Guy Mintus will perform classical works with jazz elements in their content, as well as excerpts from the world of jazz with a classical hue. The concert will include works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Gershwin combined with Israeli songs. Performers: Guy Mintus — piano; Arne Hardy — double bass; Jonathan Rosen — drums. Mozart — Concerto No. 20 in D minor; Beethoven — Sonata "Pathétique," 2nd movement, arranged for jazz trio and orchestra; Gershwin — Someone to Watch Over Me; Guy Mintus — Lev, Dalb, Our Journey Together; Naomi Shemer — I Am a Guitar.
