The splendor of eternal music beneath the vaults of an ancient church. St. Vincent de Paul, a magnificent 16th-century monastery in the center of Jerusalem (on Mamilla Street, facing Jaffa Gate). An unforgettable concert in harmony with eternity. Featuring: The Tel Aviv Philharmonic Choir – conducted by Leonti Wolf. The Jerusalem Festival Orchestra. Maria Yoffe – soprano. Ilona Toibes – mezzo-soprano. Nimrod Greenboim – tenor. Denis Sedov – bass. Conductor: Leonti Wolf. Mozart's legendary "Requiem" has been considered one of the most brilliant works in music for over two hundred years. The story behind the work is shrouded in mystery. According to legend, a man dressed entirely in black came to Mozart, asked him to compose a requiem, and disappeared. As his work on the Requiem progressed, he grew increasingly convinced he was writing it for himself.
