20 years since she burst into public consciousness and won every possible title (Singer of the Year, Song of the Year, Discovery of the Year), she proves that it's possible to keep discovering new musical worlds, new directions, and reinvent herself again and again. With a rich and varied repertoire and countless successful, moving performances (both large-scale and intimate) that have established her as one of the greatest and most esteemed singers in Israel, Miri Mesika has become an inseparable part of the Israeli soundtrack — an important, larger-than-life female voice, on stage and off it — including a career peak when she acted and sang the award-winning lead role in London in the musical 'The Band's Visit,' after which she became the first Israeli to be nominated for the prestigious Olivier Award. These days she stars in the new, successful production of the musical 'Funny Girl.'
