The Magic of the Flute – a fascinating concert showcasing the endless possibilities of the world's oldest instrument, the flute. Esti Rofe, principal flutist of the Jerusalem Chamber Orchestra, was born in Israel. After winning the Alexander & Buono Competition in 2012, she gave her first solo recital at Carnegie Hall, where she has since been invited back again and again. She has performed as a soloist in leading halls around the world, including the Cité de la Musique and the Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Berlin Theater, and the Forbidden City in China. She is one of the few flutists admitted to the prestigious soloist program "Cycle of Excellence." She has won prizes at international competitions and festivals. Her performances are marked by virtuosity and nuanced interpretations of works from different periods and styles. The ensemble, together with the acclaimed pianist Julia Gurevich – with whom outstanding soloists from Israel and abroad aspire to perform – will present a varied and virtuosic program: J. S. Bach, A. Dvořák, F. Mendelssohn, W. A. Mozart, H. Wieniawski, and others.
