The art of liberation — at threshold moments, something cracks open. From that crack comes an invitation to surrender into a space of contemplation and wonder – a free zone where all defenses, pressures, logic, and inhibitions are temporarily suspended. Latego leads the audience through the space via seven gates of liberating experiences, embodied through live electronic music, singing, performance, dance, and design. At each gate, the creators explore another layer in the physical and mental process of renewal and transformation. The show invites viewers to examine, observe, and feel the almost radical act of letting go of the forms we know. Latego is an immersive, two-directional performance, during which the audience splits into two moving groups within the Tao complex, following opposite routes – the experience differs, but the understanding is the same. Latego was created as a one-of-a-kind collaboration between Klipa Theater and Tao Cultural Center.
