Leonard Cohen, a poet who sang his life and lived his poetry. A journey into the writing of Leonard Cohen the poet. Leonard is better known through his sung songs, but his greatest power lies in his writing as a poet — writing that bursts forth and cries out from his life and experiences. A one-time encounter with the man who stretched the limits. After finding himself in Israel during the Yom Kippur War, amid shellfire, he returns for one more evening to the place he loved, again in wartime, and he has something to tell us about wars, love, children, and God. A last chance. There won't be another. All the spoken and sung texts in the show were written by Leonard Cohen. Directed by: Nava Zuckerman. Hebrew translation: Gil Alon. Musical direction: Eyal Shechter. Additional music: Tal Yaniv and Eyal Shechter. Set and costume design: Tal Ariel Arbiv. Lighting design: Matan Fraiminger. Sound design: Ohad Manor. Assistant director: Nili Lamdan. Cast: Gil Alon, Anna Binyamin, Gal Pe'er.
