In the lecture "Nachum Gutman and Little Tel Aviv," Kobi Midan brings the audience face to face with the city in its earliest days through the stories and paintings of Nachum Gutman. The works paint a picture of a young city, where everyday life and historical events are intertwined. A doctor riding a donkey to visit malaria patients, the first kiosk, building on the sand dunes, and the night watchmen are among the stories, alongside the expulsion of the Jews of Jaffa and Tel Aviv during World War I. The lecture also focuses on a surprising story about a young man, an open window, and a girl in the shower. Lecturer: Kobi Midan.
