"The Kingdom of Silliness and the Kingdom of Seriousness" tells the story of Seriousluck, prince of the Kingdom of Seriousness, who lives in a world where everything runs by clear rules, schedules and strict logic. Beyond the mountain lies the Kingdom of Silliness, home to Sillygirl — a princess in a completely opposite world, where everything is a game and every difficulty is solved with laughter. When Seriousluck's boat drifts to a foreign shore, he meets Sillygirl and is drawn into her colorful, surprising world. She opens for him a gate to laughter, imagination and free flow, while he, in turn, teaches her about the depth of thought, the value of order and discipline, and navigation by the winds and the North Star. Despite the gaps between them, the two discover curiosity and excitement about the new world opening before them, and even manage to build a friendship. But a great clash at sea leads them to believe the difference between them is too deep to bridge. Hurt and angry, each returns to their own kingdom. As time passes and the anger fades, a feeling of emptiness creeps in, and when they run into difficulties, they remember what they learned from each other. As the longing grows and their mutual need becomes clear, they meet again and prove to everyone that silliness and seriousness are not contradictions but complementary opposites that, only together, create a whole and balanced world. "The Kingdom of Silliness and the Kingdom of Seriousness" is an entertaining, heartwarming musical play about friendship, about balance and harmony, and about surprising worlds that, once you open your heart to them, make life far more interesting.
