A comic drama, adapted from a hit film. Part of the Opening the Stage reading festival, now in its 27th year at Beit Lessin Theatre, written by Shlomit Arnon and Liat Fishman-Lenny, and directed based on Moshe Rosenthal's film, starring: Aki Avni, Tal Danino, Yoram Toledano, Ravit Yaakov, Yaniv Levi, Lioz Levi, Keren Tzur, Rada Kantorovich, and Mika Shibak. "When the neighbor from the penthouse offers the dream — what price will the tenants pay?" A new, mysterious and wealthy tenant who settles into a luxurious penthouse in a quiet suburb turns the lives of the building's residents upside down. The glittering karaoke parties he throws draw in a couple from the building, who find in them an escape from the gray tedium of everyday life and a chance to fulfill hidden dreams. But as the wild parties begin to crack their relationship, they face a fateful dilemma: hold on to the familiar and safe, or get swept away by a fantasy of another life. A colorful, musical play about FOMO in a midlife crisis, and about the karaoke through which illusions are made. The adaptation is based on the film that was nominated for 15 Ophir Awards and won 4.
