From the creators of "Caspion - The Black Theater" comes a groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind adaptation combining video art, fantasy, and digital artistry, taking children on a journey inside the pictures on the wall. Nadneda Theater is proud to present the stage adaptation of David Grossman's masterful book, "Itamar Walks on Walls." Following the international success of "Caspion," the creators return with a production that blends the language of classical theater with advanced video-art technology, creating a multi-sensory experience never before seen on Israeli children's stages. The story we all grew up with: three pictures hang in Itamar's room — a colorful train, a girl with a kite, and a forest with a pair of lions. When Itamar can't fall asleep, he sets off on a fantastical journey where the line between reality and imagination blurs. He steps into the pictures on the wall to solve a mystery that troubles him: why do the lion and lioness look so sad? Technology serving imagination: the show uses innovative digital art that lets Itamar "be absorbed" into the world of the paintings. With virtual sets and video projections, young audiences and their parents are invited to climb the bedroom walls together with Itamar, fly on a kite, and wander through an enchanted forest. The power of a child: at the heart of the play is a child's power to face fears and big questions through the world of imagination. The show highlights the freedom to think outside the box and turn every blank wall into a gateway to adventure.
