From the creators of "Kaspion – The Black Theater" comes an innovative, first-of-its-kind adaptation combining video art, fantasy and digital art, taking children on a journey inside the pictures on the wall. Nadneda Theater is proud to present the stage adaptation of David Grossman's masterful book, "Itamar Walks on Walls." Following the international success of "Kaspion," the creators return with a production that blends the language of classical theater with advanced video-art technology, creating a multi-sensory experience never before seen on Israeli children's stages. The story we all grew up with: three pictures hang in Itamar's room – a colorful train, a girl with a kite, and a forest with a pair of lions. When Itamar can't fall asleep, he sets out on a fantastical journey where the line between reality and imagination blurs. He steps into the pictures on the wall to solve a mystery troubling him: why do the lion and lioness look so sad? Technology in the service of imagination: the show uses innovative digital art that lets Itamar "be absorbed" into the world of the paintings. With virtual sets and video installations, young audiences and their parents are invited to climb the walls of the room together with Itamar, fly on a kite and wander through a magical forest. The power of the child is at the heart of the play — a child's power to face fears and big questions through the world of imagination. The show highlights the freedom to think outside the box and turn every blank wall into a gateway to adventure.
