The Kozlovsky Quintet Yonatan Kozlovsky — trumpet Asaf Haris — tenor saxophone Dan Cohen — piano Ram Erez — bass Yonadav Halevi — drums Chet Baker was an American jazz trumpeter and singer known for his lyrical, melodic playing style and his soft, deep sound. He broke into the public consciousness in the early 1950s playing with Charlie Parker and later with the Gerry Mulligan Quartet. Chet Baker left behind a legacy of moving performances of hundreds of songs from the Great American Songbook. On this evening the quintet will perform selected pieces associated with him. Yonatan Kozlovsky is one of Israel's leading jazz trumpeters. He plays with the country's top jazz artists, is a member of Eli Degibri's big band, and takes part in jazz festivals such as Red Sea Jazz, Jaffa Jazz, Hadar, New Orleans, and more. He leads a quintet focused on paying tribute to the great jazz trumpeters such as Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Clifford Brown, Chet Baker, and more. He teaches in the jazz department of the Israel Conservatory Tel Aviv (Stricker). Selah Collective — original jazz with a Mediterranean flavor Daniel Rososky — piano, vocals Tamir D. The band's music connects Mediterranean, African, and Latin influences with a contemporary sound and unique energy. The collective's musical work draws inspiration from artists and ensembles such as Avishai Cohen, Ibrahim Maalouf, Snarky Puppy, Omri Mor, Laço, and Tayfa, and combines original melodies, improvisations, instrumental pieces, and collaborations with guest musicians. The band's debut album, Into the Light, included eight original works. They later released the album Belonging, from which the band continues to release new singles. Selah Collective has performed at festivals and music events in Israel and Europe, including the Kaunas Jazz Festival in Lithuania and the Divercities Festival in Grenoble, France, as well as music and jazz festivals in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Russia, Germany, and other countries. The repertoire is varied and dynamic — from quiet, intimate pieces to upbeat, rhythmic jazz numbers that invite the audience to listen, join in, and dance.
