* The show uses a prop resembling a cigarette. A story about freedom that begins at home, and about the few who dare to peek out the window and dream of other lives. By Federico García Lorca, produced by the Gesher Theater. When Bernarda's husband dies, she declares eight years of mourning and locks her five daughters inside their house. In the name of morality, honor and family unity, the house that was supposed to protect them becomes a prison. Violence disguises itself as order, and oppression as protection from the terror of the outside world — but not all the daughters are willing to accept this. Federico García Lorca was considered a dangerous figure because of his liberal views, his criticism of the regime, and the fact that he was homosexual. The play 'The House of Bernarda Alba' was written in 1936; two months later its author was executed, and the location of his grave remains unknown. The play premiered only in 1945 and has since become a world classic. Starring: Efrat Ben-Tzur, Michal Weinberg / Irit Bendek, Tali Osdatchi, Karin Serouya / Carmel Kandel, Nicole Podvalny, Ofir Tzveigenboim, Noa Carmi, Lilian Shelly Ruth. * Russian subtitles
