All concerts of the Witches Festival 2026. "Daphnis and the Wind — A Balkan Myth" is a concert by the Mezzo Ensemble, blending Greek mythology, Baroque music, and folk melodies with a Balkan flavor. Performing alongside the ensemble is the vocal group HaKedoshot. At the heart of the program is the story of Daphnis and Chloe: the shepherd, the nymphs, the forces of nature, and awakening love. The musical journey moves from the earliest surviving Greek sources, through the work of the Baroque composer Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, to folk melodies — showing how myths and sounds continue to live and change across the centuries. The concert is part of the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra's "Witches?" Festival 2026. The festival, returning for its fifth year under the title "Echo," is dedicated to women, and to the works and voices whose influence continues to resonate in later generations.
