To avoid spoiling your children's viewing experience, children and toddlers under the minimum viewing age will not be permitted into the hall. A comic musical by Leah Naor, with songs by Kobi Oshrat. King Mimulus and Queen Mima, vain and spoiled, have never left their palace. They enjoy their royal splendor and squander their kingdom's treasures, instead of fulfilling their duty and caring for the well-being of their people, the residents of the Land of Mi. With them in the palace is Keresh, their loyal, cheeky, and clever servant, who is given all the palace chores, which he carries out diligently — but is never paid for them. Following the economic situation in the Land of Mi, which is deteriorating into a national disaster, and following the disrespectful treatment he receives, Keresh decides to teach the King and Queen of Mi an important lesson. Through humorous schemes, he manages to get their majesties out of the palace and helps them find work befitting their status. Outside the palace, Mimulus and Mima begin to get to know their people — and themselves. They come to recognize their mistakes, try to learn from them and improve, understand what the role of a true king and queen really is, and discover how important, moving, and even pleasant it can be to help and bring joy to others. The musical, written by Leah Naor with the wonderful melodies of Kobi Oshrat, first premiered 50 years ago starring Chava Alberstein and Avraham Mor, and was a great success. It is now getting a new adaptation — circus-themed, funny, contemporary, and entertaining.
