A Flea in Her Ear - a wild comedy about love, suspicion, and honor. By: Georges Feydeau. Hebrew adaptation: Eli Bijaoui. Directing: Noam Shmuel. Starring: Norman Issa, Osnat Fishman, Yuval Segal, Shiran Huberman / Hagar Tishman, Yigal Sadeh, Ami Smolarchik, Daniel Sabag, Tomer Sharon, Tal Kalai, Rinat Matatov, Shmulik Cohen, Itay Ternoroder, Noy Ben Brit. The days of great confusion return to the stage in Georges Feydeau's classic comedy — this time in a cheeky, fast-paced, energy-packed version, in Eli Bijaoui's new and fluent translation. An innocent suspicion between a married couple quickly spirals into amusing chaos: a mysterious love letter, identities mixing up beyond control, and a hotel where nothing goes as it should. The uncanny resemblance between a respectable gentleman and a porter at a shady hotel sparks a chain of mistakes, swapped identities, jealous rages, wild chases, and doors slamming nonstop. The updated language and dizzying pace give the classic farce new life and turn it into a sweeping, witty theatrical experience that is funny to tears.
