Charlie's father has passed away, and when the will is read, it turns out that all the son received was... one used car. As he tries to find out where the inheritance money went, Charlie discovers a shocking truth: he has an older brother named Raymond, who lives on the autism spectrum, and the entire estate was transferred to the institution where he resides. Charlie, whose finances are collapsing and who is desperate to save his business from ruin, makes a drastic decision — to take Raymond on a journey across the country, hoping to somehow win his share of the inheritance along the way. But what begins as a desperate move turns into a moving, eventful journey in which the two brothers slowly learn to open up, grow closer, and discover each other's world.
