The silent film "The General" (1926) by Buster Keaton is screened with live music specially composed by pianist Yonatan Avishai. Avishai performs the score together with drummer Shahar Haziza; the piano and drums accompany the events on screen and offer a new musical interpretation of Keaton's comedy. Set against the backdrop of the American Civil War, train engineer Johnny Gray sets out in pursuit of his beloved locomotive, "The General," and his sweetheart. The chase combines stunts, comic situations, and the unique rhythm of silent cinema with live music.
