Amos Hofman and Asaf Yuria, two of the leading Israeli jazz musicians on the international scene, are coming to Israel after years away. The two meet on stage for a show of romantic ballads and nocturnal blues, in an intimate atmosphere. A one-time performance, and a one-time chance to see two of our top representatives from overseas – on stage here at home. The deep, warm sound of Yuria's saxophone meets Hofman's guitar and Amit Silverman's vibraphone. Music for hours when there's no need to rush anywhere – an evening of ballads, blues, and nocturnal jazz. Asaf Yuria, a tenor saxophonist active in New York for over a decade, brings to the show his deep, warm sound and his special gift for giving a melody room to breathe. Alongside him, Amos Hofman brings his melodic guitar and his deep connection to blues and jazz. They're joined by vibraphonist Amit Silverman, whose unique, dreamlike vibraphone sounds add color and space to the music, creating an atmosphere and sound completely different from the evening's first set. A show made up entirely of familiar, beloved ballads and nocturnal blues, with an emphasis on sound, melody, space, and listening. The lineup: Asaf Yuria – tenor saxophone; Amos Hofman – guitar; Amit Silverman – vibraphone; Dor Smocha – double bass; Shai Zalman – drums. A bit about the musicians: • Amos Hofman (guitar): A guitarist and oud player with an international career, who has collaborated over the years with Avishai Cohen, Jason Lindner, Lenny White, and other leading musicians. Winner of the Landau Prize and the artist behind five solo albums. • Asaf Yuria (tenor saxophone): Asaf Yuria, a tenor saxophonist active in New York for over a decade, is a member of Omer Avital's quintet and has performed alongside Jimmy Cobb and Billy Harper. His latest album was recorded at the Rudy Van Gelder studios with masters George Cables and Billy Hart.
