"Triple Bach" is a concert by the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra dedicated to the music of the Bach family. British flutist Ashley Solomon will conduct the orchestra and also appear as a soloist, joined by Israeli-Canadian harpsichordist Gili Loftus. At the heart of the program are three works showcasing different facets of the Bach family's orchestral writing: the Concerto for Harpsichord and Strings in D minor, BWV 1052; the Suite for Strings in G minor, BWV 1070; and the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. The Suite BWV 1070 was long considered a work by Johann Sebastian Bach, but today it is attributed to his eldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach. Performers: Ashley Solomon (England) – conductor and flute. Gili Loftus (Canada) – harpsichord. Composers and program: Johann Sebastian Bach – Concerto for Harpsichord and Strings in D minor, BWV 1052. Wilhelm Friedemann Bach (probably) – Suite for Strings in G minor, BWV 1070. Johann Sebastian Bach – Brandenburg Concerto No. 5.
