An original adaptation of one of the best-loved fairy tales of all time. Aladdin, a street kid living in the marketplace, falls in love with a princess. In a desperate attempt, he reaches a magic cave where he finds an old lamp, home to the magician genie who grants him three wishes. Aladdin uses the wishes to become a prince and win the princess's heart. At the end of the play, Aladdin gives up his wishes and returns to being a street kid from the market — all to save his friend, the genie. This act of heroism opens the Sultan's heart: for the first time he truly "sees" Aladdin — his kindness, loyalty, and values — and happily approves the wedding. The play is built around the saying: "Look not at the vessel, but at what it contains." Original stage adaptation: Oded Aharlich. Dramaturgy: Orly Openheim. Direction, set, and costumes: Oded Aharlich. Music: Roi Yarkoni. Puppeteer: Roi Akav. Filming: Green Go Studio. Animation and editing: Crazy Camera. Dubbing: Gal Sheivi and Oded Aharlich.
