Adele Jazz Tribute at an Ancient Seaside Monastery

An evening of music, hundreds of candles, and a sea breeze on the terrace of the ancient Armenian monastery in Jaffa. On the terrace, you'll hear the great hits of Adele — tender and powerful songs recognizable from the very first notes. Rolling in the Deep, Skyfall, Someone Like You, Hello, and more get new life in special jazz arrangements. On stage — Sofia Chudnovsky, a jazz singer, a dubbing voice for Netflix, and one of the leading voices on the Israeli jazz scene. Jaffa in the evening. The sea beyond the monastery walls. Hundreds of candles, a jazz ensemble, and Adele's music in a new sound. Love in the Dark, Easy On Me, Set Fire to the Rain — songs that always held too much emotion for an ordinary concert hall. Here they sound out under the open sky, amid the evening breeze, the city lights, and the salty sea air. Keyboards, double bass, live vocals, and the soft glow of candlelight create an atmosphere that highlights Adele's magic: honesty, depth, and rare emotional beauty. Just imagine the stirring moment of 'Love In The Dark' amid the fading city lights. The piano notes blend into the sky, with a salty sea spray and the cool of the evening. 'There's a fire starting in my heart…' — that's exactly what makes people fall in love with live music. About the musicians: Sofia Chudnovsky – jazz singer, multi-instrumentalist, Netflix dubbing voice, vocal coach, soloist of the Haifa Big Band, and a house artist at the Gig House club. She previously was a soloist in orchestras in St. Petersburg and headed the light music department at the Elena Obraztsova Academy of Music. Gonen Rosenberg – drummer and percussionist, a graduate of the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem. For over 27 years he served as lead percussionist of the Israel Chamber Orchestra and has performed on major stages in Europe, North and South America, and the Far East. A student of legendary jazz drummer Michael Carvin (New York), he is a regular participant in international jazz and classical music festivals. Sergiy Nikityuk – a virtuoso pianist, winner of international competitions, founder of the ensemble Sergiy Nikityuk & Jazz Do It, accompanying pianist and lecturer at the Hadera Municipal Conservatory, and author of the album '88 Piano Keys.' Valery Rubinsky – bass, double bass, and Chapman Stick player. Over a 30-year career in St. Petersburg, he collaborated with more than a hundred ensembles, performed at major festivals, and won the international 'Tchaikovsky in Jazz' competition. He has lived in Israel since 2022 and takes part in concert projects and recordings. Please note: the concert takes place in an open-air venue on the grounds of an ancient monastery by the sea. Evenings by the sea can be cool, so we recommend bringing a light scarf or something warm in case of cool weather. Also note that there is no bar or café on the monastery grounds. Entrance to the monastery is from the Jaffa promenade side, not through the Old City. See you among the candles, the music, and the sea this evening!
