Charlie Parker is one of the central figures in the history of jazz — a musician who forever changed the language of improvisation and was one of the founders of the Bebop style. His music continues to sound relevant and modern, inspiring new generations of jazz musicians. In the new concert 'Tribute to Charlie Parker,' Robert Anchipolovsky and his quartet turn to the legacy of the legendary alto saxophonist, performing Parker's music alongside works tied to the golden age of Bebop. For Robert Anchipolovsky, Charlie Parker's music is not only an important part of jazz history, but also one of the fundamental sources of his own personal musical language. The program will feature well-known pieces from Parker's repertoire, alongside jazz standards given new life through his legendary interpretations. Robert Anchipolovsky — alto saxophone. Gilad Shmaya — piano. Dima Grodsky — double bass. Stas Zilberman — drums. This is an evening of live, energetic and improvisational jazz — with fast rhythms, virtuosic solos, sensitive musical interaction between the players, and that special atmosphere of freedom that became one of the central legacies of the Bebop style.
